501-c3 Report:
*NRSC was sole proprietorship, is now a Non-Profit organization, many thanks to Shelby Tunnell for all of her
hard work with this!!
*Shelby is taking care of getting the club a new EIN & articles of association
*Shelby is also taking care of IRS paperwork, state paperwork, and getting the club’s Bi-Laws reworked
*By getting the Bi-Laws reworked, this will allow sponsors to donate tax-free
Treasurer’s Report:
Our treasurer was unable to attend the meeting but all is very well with the club’s funds
Upcoming Expenses:
Some of the upcoming expenses for the club are: ribbons (again, thanks to Shelby and Jim Tunnell for finding
new and improved ribbons at a lower cost!!), porta pottys, insurance (paid until June 2008), monthly awards,
and funds donated to Larkyn Arena
Ribbon Report:
We now have NEW and IMPROVED ribbons! Thank you Shelby and Jim Tunnell! They are looking into getting
a new color for the 6th place ribbons. The TOTAL cost for the ribbons which includes shipping is ONLY $1.42
per ribbon. And more good awards news! 14 trophies for high point and reserve high point cost LESS than the
sashes, and they’re certainly better looking!
Volunteer Hours:
Be careful and make sure your fill-in has arrived BEFORE leaving your post.
Ribbon Writing:
DO NOT write on the ribbons unless the person comes to pick them up!!
Summer Schedule:
There will be no pole time-only’s run at the night gymkhanas. We want to be done before midnight!
Open:
• The NRSC sponsored the John Deegan clinic. We helped with the insurance and provided props.
• We need to look for other community events to sponsor.
• The participation for the 4D Buckles Series is really good! We’ve had 12 different winners so far this
year! And the award plaques are cheap, 5 riders entering pays for 6 plaques
• The park host and the Kiwanis are very happy with the clean up of the arena. Thanks again to the
Tunnells for providing trash bags for the trash cans.
• We had more riders at the February gymkhana than the January gymkhana
• Vicki is going to look into advertising the Club in the Bridle and Bit.
• Please make sure to write legibly on the sign up sheets
